Stubbornness
Are you a stubborn person?
Have you ever just dug your heels in on a certain issue that you just can’t let go of?
Maybe your parents or a sibling has told you you are stubborn. Have you ever stopped to think about why you might be so stubborn?
I had this huge break through the other day about stubbornness. What if there is a deeper reason for our stubbornness??
What if stubbornness is simply us not feeling heard!?
When we don’t feel heard we want to dig our heels in and get kind of feisty. We want to get other people to really hear what we are saying, feeling or experiencing.
I’ve noticed with one of my particularly stubborn children, that if I stop what I’m doing and really listen to her, she relaxes and seems to let go of that iron fisted grip she had on the issue and we can work through it together calmly and rationally.
What if we could offer this to ourselves? In a moment of stubbornness when we aren’t feeling heard of validated, YOU can validate, listen and support yourself. You have the ability and the love to offer yourself exactly what you need.
Need help learning how to do this? Come work with me! I have openings for one on ones and we can have a blast together figuring out how to tap into our God-given abilities to love ourselves and love others, creating a better life experience for us and those around us!
